I’ve adjusted the title to reflect it not as a FS thread.

People seem to be interested enough in this org so might be helpful to document the experience.

For those who care, I’ve got the guitar packed and ready to ship to them but am still waiting on the shipping label/address info.

I’ll document the process in case folks decide they want to do the same and this can be a discoverable thread going forward

Also, if preferable, we can just lock the thread so it disappears into the classifieds abyss so as not to take away from those trying to sell their items, I’m good either way.

Ya know, I decided I wanted to donate my guitars when I die, the original intent would be for them to go to kids who want to play but can’t afford one, which is how my early years started but finding someone who I could trust to disperse them once I’m dead is tricky. I might just do this up instead. Really fucking cool, man!!!!

Final update here, took a few days to get the shipping label from Michael at Guitars 4 Vets but it did finally come through yesterday.

Michael deals with all the guitar intakes and also has other tasks so be patient with him.

Just leaving this piece of info here in case anyone else is/was interested in sending stuff to them.

We do alot with our local G4V chapter. They are a great group that does alot to help our Vets. One of our long time customers started the local chapter some years ago now. Other customers and friends are instructors. Ten weeks worth of free lessons on a loaner with a new guitar and accessories waiting for them upon graduating the program.
See if you have a local chapter, you can make instrument donations directly to them. Pretty cool deal.
