Mike's memory is recovering well. They tried to stand him up and he complained of pain in his leg...apparently....they missed some break in his leg and I guess it has grown back together wrong...they are taking him to surgery today to break his leg and reset it.....he has some pressure sores as well from being bedridden for so long...please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers...thanks for all the help so far...you guys are great ! Mike still has a long way to go !

Glad he's starting to get the brain back in shape. Wow, they missed a break? Super... All in all it sounds like he's going to recover well.
 
I've had a little experience with these types of things so don't get in a hurry and keep in good spirits....also never fear to trust in the Big Guy!!

From what i understand his brain is fine. He has been knocked out with sedation for awhile. Possible ICU psychosis I presume also. Oh, his med resistant lung infection cleared also !

Just lost my dear friend to a motorcycle/deer accident yesterday morning. My heart is breaking here so my thoughts and prayers for him and all of you over there!! Hope he recovers full and as fast as possible. I will try and send a donation in the next couple days. All my best and hold your loved ones close...everyday! This life is so damn precious and fragile.

Thanks for the update as its the guys like you that make a difference in the lives of other. It says a lot about a person so thanks again for keeping this going and thanks tor the PM.....I'll reply whe I get enough status.

I got a text from his fiancé day before yesterday...I should have updated this thread already ..sorry.
He is still having problems with one of his legs...may have more surgery soon...plus still fighting problems from the pressure sore that developed from being bedridden...he still has a way to go...poor guy is really having a tough go of it
 
Sorry to hear about the complicating factors. All in all though, sounds like he's recovering well?

Yes, I believe so. His mental status is normal now to my understanding. Physical complications at this point. I'm going to try to get another update today.

I texted his fiancé and got an update. His leg surgery has been done. His pressure sore is healing well. Hoping to be out of hospital in a couple of weeks. :thumbsup: I'm sure there will be some rehab involved.
 
I've been informed that Mike is now out of the hospital and at home ! Still quite a bit of physical recovery to go but after two months in the hospital this is a blessing for sure !

Just to let everyone know, I have been out of the hospital for a few weeks. Things are going well, although it is going to take time to finish healing. I cant play guitar and may not be able to again. Its ok though because I am just thankful to be alive.

Thank you guys for all your support. I truly am grateful. Most of all thank you sandman. You truly are a good friend.
