I am saddened to report that Donnies family contacted me, and Donnie passed away on Saturday, Nov 23rd at 4:20 pm. I know a lot of people here knew Donnie, so I just wanted to pass this along. Please keep his family in mind during this holiday season.

I will pass on any further info as far as condolences as I get it.

My condolences. May him rest in piece.

I may not have known him as well as you guys, but I am saddened to lose one of our own ?

Given the updates, this feels more appropriate.

I was thinking about how long he might last on Saturday, ironically.

Given the morphine and other drugs he was on, coupled with his decision to hit the hard liquor to help him go out with a bang after years of abstinence, I figured his time was about-up. My housemate died from Oxycontin alone and Donnie's morphine dosage was way-higher than my buddy's.

I very-much hope he was as happy as he could be these past few weeks. It seems unfair that his life should suddenly be cut-short at such a "young" age. So-sad.

Condolences to his family and friends. ❤️

I was never able to get along with Donnie but that may have been more me than he. Always hate to lose a fellow Rig-Talker, even though he was banned multiple times. RIP Donnie B.

No offense brother but that info seems awfully personal. I'd redact some of that but that's me :dunno:

Donnie openly volunteered that info here and / or in another gear forum; I read it myself.

He wanted us to know that he was gonna enjoy himself in his last days, come Hell or high water.

Of course, I understand your sentiment and appreciate it Brother 3, but in this case he actually wanted us to know. :dunno:

No worries brother.

Donnie liked to share personal stuff with the membership; it worked for him so each to his own I guess.

Some pics in memory of Donnie. He shared a few with me privately but I'll only post some he shared in the forum sans family members:

I am Donnie's son Michael

Though your skepticism in the world of deep fakes and social alts is totally valid, my family is in mourning and these posts from his associates online both positive and whatever else comes, are both for my family's benefit in learning who he chose to be online with others as much as your own closure in processing him being gone.

Grieve however you'd like or need to, my dad is dead - he died in the arms of his wife, daughter and son in his own bed and home.

I will be utilizing his profiles on various forums and communities to let them know, and to collect fond memories posted for/about him.

My condolences to you and your family brother. If we or I can personally do anything for you don’t hesitate to reach out. I really liked your father and I think he liked me as well. My last text to him was teasing him about not using a cell phone very well…lol. It really saddens me about his passing. Any information on arrangements or services would be appreciated. I would like to do something for you guys. At least let you know he had a hillbilly redneck from West Virginia for a friend…. I know that me and Donnie had a few discussions about faith and things, and not sure what you or your family’s beliefs are-but psalm 23 brings me a lot of peace and comfort. John 14:2 as well. God bless you folks….

My Condolences brother. From accross the ocean, your father’s departure to a better world didn’t go unnoticed.

Pass our word to rest of the family too.

May your dad rest in peace.

A northeastern man did come to me
Speaking words of good crust
