UPS has left guns and ammo on my front doorstep in the past. I quit using them once that happened.

Hopefully not at the same time. That could have been bad...

wow

No, separate occasions. This was back when I had my C&R, so I'd have guns delivered to my house instead of having to go through an FFL. I've spoken to many FFL dealers, and they say USPS is just as guilty about leaving them in the mailbox overnight, too. Blows my mind, man...

The only thing worse than Fedex's service is their customer service. If I buy something, I make sure its not sent out via Fedex.

I prefer FedEx over UPS by a wide margin. YMMV.

Same
Me too. Not to jinx myself but I have never had FedEx damage anything other then a guitar showed up with a broken knob and I have bought and sold a ton of stuff over the yrs. ups on the other hand has not only lost , stolen , and misplaced my stuff but has literally delivered packages that were smashed with tire tread marks where it was ran over, no bullshit. My buddy use to work in a ups depo loading and unloading trucks and he said you wouldn't believe the way these guys handle these packages, no regard for possible damage at all. I swear it's like one out of every 4 packages shipped with ups has some kind of problem.

Glad this all worked out....

But wait a sec, to the sender Chris - weren't you posted/deployed and just itchin' to get this amp upon your return home?? You mean you bought this thing and never played it?? I remember you were growing a big rubbery one over in the Diezel subforum, and, what, you didn't even get a chance to play this thing??

Wow.

I feel for you man.

But hey, overall, super glad this thread and the delivery of said amp ended all perfectly fine and well. Diezel's are built like fkn tanks, so no surprise there.

Mojo

Mo,

Yes sir you would be correct. Some shit came up and I needed money quick. I was not too happy about getting rid of it. Unfortunately that's how this hobby goes sometimes. If I wouldn't have put a down payment on my ESP custom I would have been able to keep the Herbert. I should have just waited for the ESP. I got in a hurry way too quick on my gear. I will eventually get another diezel. Hell I might even get to actually play it next time. Haha. I'll either go with the Herbert or Hagen. I don't think anyone in new Mexico even owns a diezel. I can't wait to PCS!!

Chris
