Loool... if your speaking about Wizard then you will have to get used to little to no small talk... and very very vague responses! Its not going to be a typical customer service dialogue. If I have the wrong vendor here just disregard this.

When I've had problems with customer service, I usually give up on a brand and tell everyone about it to warn them.

When I have a great experience with customer service...I really tell everyone about it. I'm their spokesman. It's something that really keeps me to a brand.

To be fair, customer service as great as Peter Diezel's is far from the norm. But it's definitely appreciated.

Pkripper has been dealing with Peter Diezel, concerning the VH4 that needs repair that ANDIGGITY fucked him on in a trade, and he says that Peter could not possibly be any cooler or more helpful.

I've had great experiences - obviously with Scott Splawn because I've used Splawn amps for over 10 yrs, Peavey (Steve Smith), EBMM (A.J.), and Fender EVH (Howard Kaplan)....Oh and Mesa was always good to deal with

Any Marshall amp...forget about it
TC Electronic....forget about it

I forget some others

I've sent my BE-100 to Dave Friedman twice. Never a problem.. quick turn around and monster tone..

I was a sales and service engineer for 12 years. I would take other peoples business, selling similar products, simply because I was " Johnny on the spot " whenever there was a problem. Always returned calls, and went the extra mile for my customers.... just sayin'

That's exactly why I sold my Fryette gear. They're service sucks bad bad bad. Just curious, did anyone get their gpdi? He was promising a xmas delivery after all his silence. I bet no one has it yet. Since, I've switched to Engl and have had great service, despite rumors. Strymon is excellent too.

Mesa, Bogner (Charley P) and Friedman have been great to work with in my experience.

As I remember....isn't the gent that runs Wizard is on tour with AC/DC, no? I inquired about a cab last year and he told me he would not be able to do it until the tour is done. Got back to me in a reasonable amount of time.

Yeah, Rick is a one man show and does all the work himself. If you have a real issue he will take care of you but you will have to wait until after any AC/DC tours for sure.

Rick is great with me, I have something with him right now..he let me know that he would be home for Christmas after finishing the Aussie leg of the tour. I have worked with him on four different amps now and he does great work, he even did extras and never mentioned it. If you start asking too many questions like a little girl he will start to grow weary of you fast.. haha

I've had great dealings in the past with Mesa, Friedman, Fortin, Splawn, and even Peavey. Some others...not so much.

what if you have a handful of questions? he just ignores you? that sucks if you have questions or an issue and they ignore you.

Sold my Ultralead due to Fryette's lack of customer service.

You know, I only owned a Pittbull Ultralead for about a month and I had a simple question and in a matter of 30 minutes got a call back from Steve Fryette himself. I guess I was lucky? Honestly I've never had a problem with any musical instrument vendor getting back to me. I lead a privaledged life I guess. Good ole Pete Diezel is above and beyond the best. Never had to deal with Dave other than to ask him the price of a mod and he got back very fast.

I had a great experience with Fryette as well. Sent in an amp for a small repair and updates. It was done very quickly and the communication was top notch.

It takes him time sometimes to get back to you. I emailed him once and two weeks later he responded. It was ok because he had just lost a close family member and shared that with me. He and I started off rocky about six years ago but once I figured how he operated he's been very cool. If you want a Wizard you need to join and be accepted into the club. :D Experienced Wizard owners will understand this. These amps are in their own league. When you pick one up and look at the guts and see what Rick does, you get it. It's not hard at all to understand why the cost is what it is. Very reminiscent of how meticulous a Hiwatt is built. Everything from the headshell, chassis, to the meticulous bends in the lead dress. We are just assuming Reza is referring to his MC.
"Your jack is fine Mate"

Rick is not going out on tour with AC/DC next year and focusing more on Wizard. However, I'm sure he's got a lot of catching up to do after the extensive touring he's been on this past year. Plus, I know he's got a backlog of amps to build that have been on the books for a while. Mine and a few others on this forum. As others have said he can be a little finicky, especially being a one-man shop. He pushed back with me on a question once and we cleared it up and then he called me on the phone and I almost couldn't get him to stop talking. Since then things have been very reasonable and he has even given me free stuff. Hopefully things will get better this next year.

Rob w/ tone merchants & Dave Friedman's customer service...
