I swear to you if you post up tomorrow that you bought that John Browne sig up on reverb before I could pull my 401k out I'm going to find you and kick you in the nuts after congrats of course. I had to fucking order it and wait till September after the that. I have the weirdest feeling that's what you're talking about because most of these look the same other then that one.

Haha! Nah man, you're safe

John Browne is a hell of a player though. Never really heard of him but I just watched a few vids of him ripping it on a Duvell. Pretty sick shit:

I know right!

Ok, the second one just arrived. I have to get to work soon, so I can't play it right now. But... the actual build quality is noticeably better, if that's even possible. :D This one's from the Mayones Custom Shop...

Here she is! I'll get to play 'er later tonight and post up my thoughts.

Bookmatched flame Koa top, Black Limba body, Wenge/Bubinga neck, Duncan Nazgul/Sentient pickups. Fretwork is immaculate.

Koa on black limba. God,that's gonna sound sweet. A great wood pairing for killer, musical midrange.

Wow. I mean, what else can you say? Both of your new ones are just jaw dropping gorgeous. Perhaps you'll be selling a silverburst?

I've been playing these two back-to-back for about 3 hours, through my Ceriatone Yeti and Bogner 4x12. Oh yeah, I'm a happy camper!

They both sound great. The koa/limba one is tighter, brighter, and meaner. But it has less sustain and it takes effort to play it somehow. It would be better for Djent-type stuff. The mahogany/poplar one is easier to play, a little sweeter and a little more full sounding in the lower mids. More sustain. And notes kind of "smear" out without effort. Hard to describe. But they are both really awesome for different reasons. It could be the pickups. It could be how they're set up. I don't know what type of strings are them. But they probably need a good setup (truss rod adjustment, action adjustment, etc.). I will try to get some clips recorded at some point. But all I have is my 5-year-old MacBook's webcam so it won't do any of this stuff justice.

Another thing though... man... these are both better than my Les Pauls for sure. Meatier, chunkier, more angry. And better for cleans as well with the coil tap.

ONE THING these guitars are missing: a tone control.

I almost bought that Koa one actually too... The nazgul kept me from doing it because I saw the John Browne sig already had a pickup compliment I liked and I loved the purple. That sound you're describing is most likely the nazgul. It's just very "to the point". September something similar to this will be mine... I CAN'T WAIT!

I like how "to the point" the Nazgul is. It's very reminiscent of the feel and clarity of the BKPs I have. It's really angry.

Purple is my favorite color; looks great!

If anybody's interested, there are two Koa Limited Duvell Elites for sale on SevenString.org. :) Hurry before I buy them both haha :)

That's just damned gorgeous! I mean DAMNED gorgeous! I love it. I wouldn't have gone the hardtail route on it myself, but I can see that pumping out some down-tuned DJENT and shred. Congratulations!

I hate trems lol :)
Maybe it's time to re-think THAT one too...

NEVER!

These look amazing. Just from looks I think the Duvell is the most appealing. Seems like they sound great as well.

How is the neck and fingerboard? I like the Wizard neck personally and while I have never played any high end Gibson's I typically do not like the fat C shaped necks.

I can get an idea looking at the specs. It seems thicker than the Wizard up by the 1st fret and has a smaller board radius but how would you compare?

I got a Duvell elite recently, one of the best damn guitars I've ever played.
