so, what was the verdict?
If I set the Rocket Fuel to the settings I like best it was identical to how I set the Barber Direct Drive I already have.

So essentially, save 160$ and get the barber. Barber has been on my list to check out so glad I checked this.. the other interesting pedal is that Paul Gilbert Magic Fuzz, looks cool too.

you gotta be insane to spend $260 on a distortion pedal.

You got to be insane to send 3 grand for a place in line...

I set the Rocket Fuel to the settings I thought worked best with my Marshall. Turns out it sound exactly like the BDD I already own so...

Guess who is resurrecting this thread? I thought the BDD might be too smooth from some of the things i have read in the past.. any additional thoughts on this? I like the look of this pedal but geez, 280$ bones ain't cheap.

Had one, sold it , went round and round and round, got another one, no GAS at all. Trumped everything.

Got one for sale...Like new. 8 mos old. Never left the house. Check classifieds.

Is it as sweet as the Suhr shiba, theres no harshness to the shiba.

Love my RF! One of my favorates to date !

That and the Keeley moded SD-1 !

I tried the Rocket Fuel and while it was good, I didn't think it was worth the coin. There are so many cheaper OD's that get you in the same ballpark.

I recently sold off about 8-10 OD pedals after settling on the TC Electronic Spark Booster. With the 3 way toggle (fat/flat/mid boost) and full EQ, it can cover so much tonal ground. It is not only versatile, but it is GOOD. A few of the pedals it replaced were the Xotic BB, Barber DD, MXR Classic OD, Rocket Fuel, and Box of Rock.

Interesting, it isn't spoken about all that much here. What does it do better than say the BB or Zakk OD/MXR classic OD? How effective/good sounding is that mid boost?

Resurrected thread. I don't think the OP care anymore   I have owned it twice. Nice pedal. If you want great and something that does what no other will get a Himmelstrutz Under Over or Under Overdriver. I have both and they are absolutely killer stay on pedals if you wish.My fav ever period.
