Is it just another boost pedal? I already have a Barber Direct Drive and a Keeley modded SD-1. Would the Rocket Fuel do anythig special to my Marshall Vintage Modern that the other two pedals don't? Any have clips of theirs they can post?

Jim

Boof on this board has one and told me that he loves it. I have also heard that from a lot of other people. Would love to check one out myself.

I heard it's pretty sweet but unless it does something really incredible, why spend the $260

I'm sure it doesn't... LOL! :D

Sounds like youre set with what you have already....unless youre GASin :D

I would love to hear one of these things but am not coughing about 260 just to check it out. If it does what it says it does it would be worth it to me, but I am not willing to make the 60+ dollar gamble if I don't like it and have to sell it.

I hear ya on that. That is definitely a try before you buy kind of thing. Unless they had a return policy, but I don't think they do.

:) You guys suite yourself but I got a Rocket fuel pedal and it is tops to me. It has the boost side and it also has the overdrive side with 3 different bass/lower mids shift toggle. like a mini cameron in a pedal.
I even had mine mess up and for all intensive purposes the breakdown was most likely my fault as I used the wrong power adapter.
But Dave Simpson had me ship it to him, fixed the same day, shipped it back to me with the funds inside the box for my shipping costs plus a tip/ more than I paid from my reciepts and had it overnite shipped from Los Angeles to the east coast. Oh, yeah by the way inside the box with my pedal good as new was a note that read.....'Hollywood, thank you for your business, and I apologize for any troubles you may have had with this pedal.'
C'mon ? Are you kidding me? That guy is King on the throne for the customer . PERIOD! And his products are also quality number one. ;)
Hey, you do what ya want, but Doug Aldrich uses one and it was designed for him with Doug and Dave together. And The Rocket fuel Smokes ! There are several threads on here about this exact pedal.

Thats cool. Good to hear stories like that. Too many bad business stories out there

Rocket Fuel is my favorite boosting pedal to date, nudging out the cusack screamer and the BB and BB+. Makes them sound a bit buzzy in comparison actually. The bass shift switch changes the texture of the bottom end, almost worth the price of admission by itself.

Worth 260? Sure is to me!

I bought about 6 months ago the Body Blow and I love it. The pedal looks really cool and works like a supped up Tube Screamer. I use it to boost solos at this time. I've got gas for the Rocket Fuel. I totally agree with the customer service. He is a great guy who took the time to email me his favorite settings for this pedal. A+ in my book!

Love the rocket fuel. the boost will do just that and not thin out the sound at all. the TS-9 keeley pedals are great and I still have a few one still in the rack shelf but they thin out the sound a bit. I got an MXR distortion plus (old one without the LED) at a friends recommendation and that boosted the sound without thinning it out. it did a decent job of it. the rocket fuel is both and better. the distortion side will have allot of room for movement and easily keeps the bottom end together with the toggle switch and actually does fine with the toggle switch in the middle position and that's where I keep mine. After I got it and hooked it up it was about all of a few minutes before i realized it was a good choice. no regrets. If I had to say what I didnt like about it I would say that with the low end boosted witht eh toggle swith to the right it will add more noise and you will find you have to turn the decimator knob up a bit but since the pedal doesnt thin out the sound as it is I dont find myself using the toggle on the right so never was an issue. Great pedal.

If you are still thinking that you don't want to drop the cash on it then craiglist a few of those pedals that we all have that are sitting in boxes in the closet to cover the cost.

I love mine. It made my BB, OCD and other OD pedals worthless to me. I agree with the other guy about the bass switch. I like mine in the middle as well.

The Rocket Fuel is one of my favorite pedals. The cost doesn't bother me 'cause it's like getting two pedals in one...a great boost AND a great OD. I was looking for a pedal that would kick my XTC in the butt without coloring the tone...the RF fits the bill. In addition, the three way bass switch just sweetens the pot even more. You can use this switch to fatten up thin...ish tone. If you want a great OD that can also fatten up the tone, if need be, this thing is great. I also really dig the boost on clean Strat type stuff. Great pedal!

Note..the bass switch . The center position is neutral...does not change the bass. The left position pumps up the low mids and the right positon pumps up the low bass.

Has anyone tried this & the Suhr Koko boost?

How would they campare?
