I haven't been loving DT's stuff over the past few years but this is actually sounding really good. James LaBrie's voice is even working alright here. Tones and production are also killer too. I think they sound better here than I've heard them sound in a while actually.

I saw them live a few months ago on the anniversary tour. The sound and band were great! While I am not a LaBrie basher, I was embarrassed for him. He was so off on so many things that it sounded like the sound engineer had the suck button engaged on his voice.

The new album is pretty good. Looking into catching one of the Parasomnia shows this year. My first DT show was at The Al Rosa Villa in Columbus on the Images and Words tour. Seeing those guys play in what was essentially a bar was an eye opening experience!

Used to be a massive DT fan - I do like the Parasomnia release, but Russel Allen's vocals for Symphony X are so much better than LaBrie's - think I may like Symphony X better for the most part nowadays.
