The concept of amp is triple recto slave into Diezel herbert power section from what I heard.

Would that just basically be a Triple Rectifier then? The Purple Nightmare is a Dual Rectifier with a built in boost pedal, so that would make sense.

Actually I haven't tried Driftwood stuff. So, I can't say much on their amps. This amp is signature amp of Mark Lewis(I have no idea who he is. I heard he is producer). His favorite amp is triple rev f with slave into herbert. Driftwood guy added his flavor to this according to his description. Anyway amp builder said Atlas is different to normal PN. So, yeah..

Excited to hear some other demos. A lot of his videos sound ultra tight but somewhat anemic

My Driftwood is tight. A bit stiff even.

Hoping this one is more organic.

I’m telling you, this is not what this amp sounds like unboosted, at all. Many people know I’ve known mark for 25 years, he’s been my best friend for decades, I know exactly what he was going for with this thing. This amp is much, much looser than this when plugging straight in with no boost in, muddy even. Mark wanted it that way. He very much loves being able to shape the input section with pedals etc, which is why the recto is such an incredible amp to me, and what he loves about it as well. So, take this demo, like all reza’s “demos”, with a grain of salt. This still has reza’s “signature sound” in it that are in all his videos. He’s got some kind of super backed off pickup, that’s the only way he could make this thing sound like this without a boost…the lead stuff sounds killer though.

It’s not. I have no idea where the Herbert thing came from. Mark absolutely slaves amps into others, yes ( VHT 2902 pushing a 5150 is one he loves), but no it was not based on that specific combo. It started with what he loves about his rev F in orange modern, which is almost exclusively where mark lives at when using that amp on records. But I doubt anyone is gonna think it sounds like a Recto necessarily at all.

Ah, thanks for the info man!! Slaving into herbert is what I saw from FB. Seems like you've tried this amp??

This amp has more low end than just about any amp out there…once again, reza made every amp sound like “reza”.
What I meant was it almost had nonexistant midrange detail and voice. It was all low end and sizzle on the top providing the edge and attack but nothing that helps the guitar have a voice. Now that’s just this demo, this player and the way he sets stuff. Always open to hearing someone else play it in a different scenario. Hopefully outside of the Shire.
