I typically hate dropped tunings...rarely are they used effectively IMO. Because of that, I'm surprised that I even opened this thread let alone listened to the track. Glad I did...I really dug what you have going on there.

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I had a version of the first riff for a while although a little faster and different tuning. Playing in a different tuning for me is like playing with a new effect pedal. Sounds and riffs just start coming out. Same thing happened last week when I borrowed my friends Splawn cab and tuned my guitar up to drop D (from Drop C) I suddenly had this super cool thrashy sound. Loved it and it's fun. It's also just a starting point. I'd love to actually make my collection of riff clips into complete songs.

nice tone bubba......you're a prime example (and inspiration to guys like me) of making the most of what you have, and knowing how to do it. i always enjoy your clips. i also enjoy that you tell us what you use.

proof that you dont need 5k+ into a setup to sound good!

I'd buy that CD. Your clip was catchy and rocked too.

Thanks man. It's fun. I keep it really simple. I have very little "know how". Someone told me about using a high and low pass filter, but I still don't know how to do it.
