We just had an 80's ODS here from the guitarist from Tim Buk 2 (sp?) sell for six digits, I believe. At least that is what the dealer was asking. . .

I've heard some great tones with these amps, but this is just stupid. I mean the dude for Mr Mister was cool, but not cool enough to add any kinda real value to the amp in my opinion.
I heard that he licks each piece of the amp while assembling.
giving it that magic touch.
But that could just be hear say.

I hear you can get close with the Fender Twin model and the Zen Drive OD in a $40 Zoom MFX. ;)

I saw one at the Orange Co. Guitar Show last month for $110k.

I'm not sure why people get bent out of shape on this stuff. It's supply and demand. Do they sound good? Several well-known players seem to think so. Good enough that other people want them? Yup. And, when there aren't very many, the price goes up. It's not rocket surgery. It's also possible to get that tone for pennies on the dollar if you want it...

I think that is part of the reason people get bent out of shape. 6 figures for an amp (even 5 figures) is a bit cray cray.

Not really. I wouldn't (OK, couldn't) pay for one but when an item is desirable and there aren't very many, the price goes up. It's only worth what the market will bear, and it appears to be willing to bear $90K+ for some models...
