Duncan Full Shred/Full Shred or JB/59 for down-tuning?

I picked up another Ibanez RGD 6'er, and can't decide. Never used the Full Shred for down tuning, but since its a little lower output/gain than the JB, I'm wondering if it might help with a bit of tonal clarity?

Anyone have an opinion on this?

I might even dump the Dimarzio CrunchLab/Liquifire if I like them enough. Those have to be probably the most overrated pickups I've ever had. Not blown away at all. Not even mildly impressed.

Hopefully you guys aren't sick of me posting this whenever I see someone ask for Seymour Duncan recommendations. :D

12 SD pickups, same guitar, same amp, same settings, same riffs:

Nope, not at all. It's a great resource and perfectly fitting in this case.

I have full shreds in my Carvin DC 727 and it sounds phat and mean very tight bottom and a very nice grind to them.

That was PERFECT!! Just what the doc ordered! Thank you!!

Leaning HEAVILY toward the Full Shred now...I was on the right track!

I started a thread some months ago about "worst pickup" and the full shred was amongst the most popular... never tried one myself though.
Can't go wrong with a Duncan Distortion for down-tuning, and I'm a Dimarzio fanboy ;)

Well hey, not knocking the helpful video. But keep in mind without the same guitar/amp/tubes/cables results may vary.

I guess i left out some important info...

See...I've had most of the Duncans at some point, and I know which ones I do/don't like, but I haven't had them in a) a basswood body, or b) tuned way the hell down.

I know which pickups I have it narrowed down to as you can tell, but was looking for a little more feedback in terms of lower tunings. The JB is pretty hot, so I thought it may have a propensity for sucking down low. I always loved the FS's mids and output level, as well as it being somewhat "clean/transparent", so I thought I'd see if anyone used them in this type of app.

Full Shred Neck is AMAZING! Not enough experience with the bridge model but, the neck model has it in spades!
