that will not suck.

:D

where will it fit and do you still have loops/mixer inputs available?

Yup I have loops (2) and ... I think it'll end up going in series into Mix 1 "In 5" L/R-- Parallel w/ the Dry, TC 1210, and I/O 1 & 2 of the H8000. ;) I'll remove the MXR EQ, and put the TSC in it's place on the RS10. I sent the Schematic Block diagram to Dave to confirm. HEHEHEHEHEHEH

It won't fit in the BMW, I just picked up for a song.

Then next year, the Ferrari!! Oh yes, It will be mine. Muwahahahahaha

quite an amazing ride since the day you brought your mark 2b combo over in 82, wouldn't you say braddah?

30 years later---crazy.

I swear I was just discussing that with someone recently. Time sure does fly by.

I actually got that MKIIB, and the matching 1x12 in late '81. We literally shook the mirror and pictures off the wall in your room.... LOL SO much GREAT gear, and crazy fun times. Blessings ALL THE WAY, and still .... More undeserved Blessings. Praise Jesus brother.

Congrats Zach, I know you have wanted one of those for a while. :)

Speaking of buying gear I've wanted for ages, I finally got me a Eventide H3000 a few weeks back!

Thats very cool Zach... I would not mind finding one of those myself. Talk about rare though. I dont think I have seen one in a decade.

I have heard of one other, in Finland-- and I am not so sure about the seller though.

And John Ou may still have his available for sale. I think you can find him through the HRI forum. They are very hard to find and not cheap, but nothing else really sounds like them.

D/SX , now with D/SE Eproms. Italo presets as well, which are killer.

The Flashback and Neunaber Stereo Wet (which is great) will serve for now for "regular" delays and reverb as the Eventide needs a good second or two to change presets lol, so it will be more "set and forget". Now it's ran parallel with the RJM MEG and Mini line Mixer, so I can live with it dropping out a bit in breaks where it fits to change presets, we'll see... :)
Main amp is now 5150 III 50w, dry cab is the EVH 2x12", still two Jet City 1x12's with EV12L's for wet.
I have a thiele cab coming in a few weeks, and will be ordering another when I can, so both wets will be thieles.
I'm trying my best to keep this as compact as possible, but man it's not easy haha.
But thinking of a PCM81 eventually.
As the EVH head have midi channel switching I can control everything from the G-Lab GSC-3 so that's really cool, but as I don't use that many pedals, the plan is to replace the GSC-3 with another MEG and a Liquid Foot LF12+.

It's fun to see and hear it starting to come together. The H3000 is jawdropping. :) So many classic sounds.

nice rig blix-you always put great tones together and are a fine player.
i'd love to hear clips of you using italo's presets-does your eventide do virtual rack to avoid preset time glitch?

i love the compact rig concept and like the challenge of small size big sound
but there is a point when trying to stay small and simple cuts into the tone potential of a rig like zach's.
after z gets the tri and 81 i couldn't imagine a coveted fx tone he couldn't achieve.
....dunno if /3000 or 8000 does cello/violin synth like axe-fx...
ampwise he needs a ac30, jtm 45, dumble....or ways to get there with pedals or modules...:)

VERY VERY cool!!! I will be adding Italo's patches to the H8000FW and Lexicon PCM81 as well. He is THE man!!

I hear you re: trying to keep it compact, but for me-- there was just no way around it, I was screwed from the get go, back in the 80's at Lab Sound. I wanted to go from Raw Rock and Roll ala Angus to EVH to High Gloss Polished EVH, Vai, Landau, Lukather, Holdsworth, so... there was no hope but to just embrace the insanity which is the current rig.

I LOVE it!!!

Keep Rockin Blix-- my brother in tone!

Yup!! AC30 head, /13, another Fuchs ODS or TDS, JTM 45/100 are also on the radar. Man I am such a pig. ;)

I haven't discovered a violin type patch, but there are SO many I've yet to experiment with. Perhaps Italo will chime in with something INSANE, as usual-- that will melt faces in that arena.

Wow, $2500 + shipping. A bit out of my range at this time...

What surprised me is how good the Strymon sounds... Its a bit warmer than The Tri Stereo, but in a live situation I doubt you would hear the difference. I sure wish Strymon would do a rack effect. The H3000 sounded a bit sterile to me when compared but I would never notice if it were not being compared side by side...

Lets face Zach... You are a gear pig ! ;)

and Italo is the man... He could program a H3000 to make perfect eggs and bacon !

On question, does your CAE switching system use one buffer for each channel or one buffer for all channels on the switch matrix?

Thank you. I'm not trying to cover as much ground as Zach, and my wallet thank me! :D

:)

I'm just trying to nail a few dream tones, getting closer now. Now the downsizing craze seems to be catching on here in Norway , so I might be able to pick up 4x12"'s for a song soon, and will have to option of going large or small, and everything in between.
I forgot to mention I need a compressor, listening to LASD's rack clips, a DBX compressor is key for nailing those 80's clean tones... Ugh, running out of rack space already!

Forgot to answer this.
I'll make some clips eventually, just got the midi interface and havend loaded them all into the H3000 yet, and need to get to know them first. :)
Some of the presets use the Modfactory algorithms which I can probably control somewhat with midi to avoid that, but I think the H3000 doesn't got the flexibilty of newer units. I'll have to figure it out..
