im stoked for my buddy-the ultimate rack!

id suggest definitely having the 8000 tuned up while in the remodelling phase so by the time the rack is at LASD it's bulletproof

i look forward to hearing dave phillips apply his ear/programming experience to that stonehenge of tone and hearing italo's 8000 and 81 presets in person.

probably want to make sure you have a way to load the italo 8000 and 81 presets in cali while at dave's shop so you can fine tune the rig using them with dave's help, and figure out preset backup strategy, midi continuos control of the 8000 parameters, etc.

Good plan... I have to ask Italo about the appropriate OS revision to use w/ his presets. Not sure how Dave operates re: programming etc... I have to give him a call soon. I know he's REALLY busy so-- we'll see. Definitely would be a blast though. I love the way he plays and the tones he dials in. It'd be fun to have a bank of Dave's Fav's. We'll have to reprogram some of the CC#'s on the RS10 to accommodate the new additions as well as relabel. I will also replace the MXR 10 Band w/ a vibe pedal of some sort.

Vibe guys-- input is VERY appreciated.

Ahh the final frontier-- CC control w/ the H8000... The possibilities are limitless, between the Virtual rack presets and continuous control of all the effect blocks simultaneously... My head may actually explode. LOL What a way to go

Thats very cool Zach... I would not mind finding one of those myself. Talk about rare though. I dont think I have seen one in a decade.

I have heard of one other, in Finland-- and I am not so sure about the seller though.

And John Ou may still have his available for sale. I think you can find him through the HRI forum. They are very hard to find and not cheap, but nothing else really sounds like them.

Just listened to those videos.
That is extremely effected guitar. What application do you use it for? What kind of music? Can it translate live?
What is it's purpose for you?

Applications: Personal-- Live, and Studio use, and Rentals to clients (players and studios)

Kinds of music: Rock, Jazz, Funk, Fusion, R&B, Pop, Blues

It definitely does translate live.

Purpose for me: Multi-facted, but the ability to not have to compromise, and/or emulate are probably my favorites.

re. cc,
id start with a very simple preset like hall reverb only, and attach your expression pedal to one parameter like reverb's decay time to scroll between small and big rooms via a cc number and build from there.
i know you eventually want the eventide bowing in angelic reverb choir effects with envelope wah attack and a sub octave harmony trem/ panning underneath!

so many things are involved with just one simple cc parameter.
assigning a minimum and maximum effect value that defines the range of the pedal's sweep, the slew rate of the pedal (how fast the controller pedal ramps from low to high values)
does the sweep "zipper" or chatter as the parameter is changed because the sweep range is too wide for the device to keep up with...?

in my midi heyday i used a ernie ball volume pedal into my gmc ground control expression port to cc delays, reverbs, tremolos, and rotary effects in my replifex
i could assign up to 7 or 8 parameters simultaneously to my one expression pedal
i even had it cc'ing my triaxis v2.0 gain level on a few presets for a while

now i just tap tempo into the gforce expression port on the unit, or program dynamic effects in the pcm 91 that are triggered via the input signal level via lexicon's dynamic patching.

That H3000 plus CS5 was amazing.

I am sending my H3000 D/SX back home for a full check up before downloading Italo's presets, his work is amazing and well worth it imo. The CS5 is not in budget so I will have to deal with my Roland SDX-330 with Dimension C settings for FLESH!

LA Sound is the shit right now for the big gun racks and pedal boards imo, great stuff coming from them.

Congrats Zach

Congrats on realizing your dream Brother Zach. Hope you are feeling much better then the last time we spoke ;)

all the best bruddah!

That was just the internal mind, not the actual head.

Messing around w/ rearranging the layout a bit. I think sending this to Dave and paying him to do it will suit me better. LOL

Going by what I have heard tone wise from various rigs for several years I would go to LA Sound.

Every time I open a Zack Rack thread, my iMac freezes up and the dreaded spinning color wheel makes an appearance!
