just here to leak some tone zone love all over this thread. i love them in strats, and other brighter guitars, but i even have one in my mahogany explorer. it all stemmed from the fact that the tone zone-s is (imo) the best of the single coil sized bridge pick ups out there for high gain. the jb jr is a nice, but the tone zone just brings the balls to a strat that nothing else in a single coil package can. then they found their way into all my other guitars.

I really like the full sized tone zone but didn't jive with the S....for me it wasn't hot enough and had a response i didn't like; just in general didn't really sound or feel like a hot bridge humbucker. Swapped the TZS for a Hot Rails and I was happy again
