But do they cover metal?

More EVH news. I have never heard of this magazine?

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/eddie- ... -magazine/

It's a cork sniffers paradise
I'm guilty of picking 2 copies up of it in my life.

My fave mag for what it's worth is UK Guitarist. That mag has got terrific content and excellent reviews, writing, and the like. Not cheap either, but well worth it. Last Guitar Aficionado had John McEnroe on the cover with his '59 Lester left-hander.

The biggest article in it is about the wing-door Mercedes SLS

Yea, UK Guitarist is awesome. $15/issue is pretty pricey for a magazine, but it's only once a month. I can't stand Guitar Aficionado though. If it were called anything else, I probably wouldn't mind, but it's a giant ad for expensive toys masquerading as a guitar magazine. I bought one issue when I was in high school and was so mad that there were barely any guitars in it.

I just read this article but did not buy the mag as like many evh stories, not much new info. However, anyone "chasing the tone": ditch the Marshall and get a vintage Bandmaster. The other interesting thing he said was that every Kramer out there that is claimed to be an "evh" guitar aside from the two that he personally built are Fakes :D

Well I might order the EVh one though so it will be my first. I cannot usallly afford the finer things in life except great beer and that is not too expensive!! Well apart from some gear here and there.
save you money, dude. I read Guitar Afficionado, Guitar Player and GW on a regular basis. I have lunch at my local supermarket and just read them for free ;)
GA is just like others have mentioned here, a glossy mag for cork sniffers. Unless this issue has some amazing photos of Ed & gear, and a great article, it wouldn't be worth it.
On the other hand, once in awhile i would not hesitate to drop $18 to buy a good issue of Guitar Technique, a total player's mag with great lessons and transcriptions, and a CD to boot. A super deal.

The article in question was overall weak. Anyone expecting a rare insight into EVH's guitar collection will be somewhat dissappointed I think. SOme of the guitars we have seen and heard about already. EVH never gives up anything cool these days. Maybe when he is dead Wolfgang will unleash it all............

Exactly. If they are going to go to the trouble of going to 5150 to look at all of these "interesting" guitars, why not show some pictures of the place or how about a video clip of the tour? Lame...
