effects loop with 2 amps

I have a fractal fx8 I use for effects. I now have 2 amps that I use at home regularly but not together. In other words one day I'll play one and the next I'll play the other. I would like to have the fractal hooked up to both so that I don't have to get behind the amp and hook the effects up every time I switch amps.
I know the fractal has stereo outs but it uses the left channel if you aren't running stereo as it is with most effects so I don't know if it will work running one side to one amp and the other to the other amp.
I'm gonna investigate this when I get off here.

Just for argument's sake lets say it won't work and that I have to use the same side for both amps. What piece of gear would I need to get to make it work like I want?
I was looking at a voodoo lab switcher but then I need a midi controller to run the switcher. This isn't out of the question but I have limited space and I would like to keep it as simple as possible.

Probably not what you're looking for but what about just buying 2 extra cables and the Send/Return cables stay connected at the amps. Then you just switch connections on the floor.

I forgot to mention that I'm using the 4 wire connection because I have a wah and if I went to 2 wire I could no longer run the wah in front of the amp.

good idea though if I was using 2 wire it would definitely work

You can do this with a loop switch, I’ve had my front end pedals and effects loop pedals hooked up to 3 amps this way by using multiple loop switches. Do you have load boxes or cabs for each amp already?

Get atleast a 4 channel loop switches and I think you can make that work.

I'm digging it. It seems to be real speaker-specific but I overcame that with an EQ in the loop

What speakers are in your cabs ? The Mezza amps def sound good with v30s in my experience
