Effects unit questions

I had a midi mate when I had the G major2. Worked good. There are many out there that will work fine. You can narrow it down by figuring out if you're gonna go stompbox mode or all presets. I later moved on to the Ground Control Pro cause I needed/wanted more presets readily available in my first bank.

You could try a Digitech GSP1100. Although they do have amp models, they are a pretty nifty unit.

I don't like many digital effects processors- personally I prefer my effects pedals.
But if you do want high quality studio-style units, what Zach has in his rack rig seriously is the Duck's Nuts.

Thanks... I have surgery on the 23rd (abdominal hernia), and am NOT looking forward to that-- at all.

Damn. I had an abdominal hernia operation when I was 16 years old. I couldn't walk for a week (but my sister had fun wheeling me out from the hospital in a wheelchair!), but thankfully recovered. I hope you'll be alright Zach.
