Einstein plate voltage

480 Volt in almost all Diezels (except Schmidt).

Latest series a bit less.
So I guess Peter will ask you about the serial number.
 
I can get the SN off of it for you man. I will post that up tonight.
 
thanks guys.. i am just thinking about using some of the new old stock el-34's that i have at home in the eimi. but i dont want to wear them out too fast.
 
If that amp is used and older than 3 months, you can calculate with 480V.
33mA per tube is fine for EL34s.

The plate voltage can't be higher (as long as your pirmary voltage is ok), so even if it would be lower (which means you'd bias the tubes higher) 33mA per tube is on a very safe side.
 
We would like to decrease the plate voltage to 450 to 460 volts
for the future. It´s more than enough to reach the maximum
power of 25 watts for the EL34.
