EMG on my Les Paul... or not?

Been thinking about trying 81/85 set (or 81/81) on my LP Custom (maple neck), what do you think?

I dont play metal to be honest, hard rock and thats it. Also, I dont use effects.


Are there any other options?


The bkp Miracle Man i guess, but those are expensive...

I have some MCP Solutions coming to put in a Nice 9.2 LP. I'm taking out SD Jazz and Rio Grande.

I will try them out using all the amps in my sig over a few days to get a feel for them. I will let you know how it goes.

MCP do have a few great models and it never hurts when Jerry Cantrell uses them.

if you want something for over the top hard rock and metal... check out a duncan distortion
