I'm getting a hum when I have the volume on and when I am not touching the guitar but when I touch the volume pots the hum seems to die out and when I first touch them they kind of pop. Anybody have a problem like this and what did you do to fix it. I tried to intall a ground wire on the guitar body to the pots and that didn't help. I'll have to take it all appart again and see if I forgot something.

Make sure that the braided section from the white wire has a solid solder connection to the back of the pot. The hum is usually a ground issue. If all is well there, check every other connection and make sure it is solid.

Double check all your ground wires. You don't need to ground EMG's to the bridge. Try and follow EMG's wiring diagram and you will have success. Make sure no solder has leaked into the pot itself and also check that you haven't burned through the pickup wires, sometimes if your iron is too hot that can happen.

Yeah if the volume on either pickup is all the way up then it doesn't make any noise but if the volume is less then fully on then I get hum which stops when I touch any of the pots or jack. I have it wired like the ESP KH-2 which is volume/volume/tone and hum/hum. I'm going to look at the braded section and see if I melted it into the hot side. Thanks everyone. I do believe this to be a ground issue.
