Eminence Delta Pro 12A

Anyone familiar with these speakers? anyone used 'em with high gain amps like a Diezel or a hot-rodded Marshall?

I have a couple of them. They sound good. I haven't experimented much with them yet, but they are balanced, and they handle any amount of power.

They work well in ported and open back cabs too!

They are comparable to:

EVM12L
EVM12S
EV Force
EV SRO Ceramic

unfortunately I've no experience with EV's of any type so just going by a couple of things I've seen posted. How would you characterize their sound with high gain amps relative to something like a V30 or G12-K100?

depends on the room, depends on the amp.

the emi DPp12a doesn't have the outrageously loud midrange hump of the V30. and it doesn't have the broad, friendly, loud midrange of the K100.

It also doesn't "seem" as loud. I haven't checked the Sensitivity level comparison, but I usually have to have the amp up a little more. could be the cab though.

I don't know. I've come to appreciate and like MANY speakers. It really depends on the room and the cab.

I just ordered a 2x12 cab that should be here any time now loaded with Delta Pro 12A's and also have a pair of EVM12L's to compare. I will let you know how the Diezel works out with them

i had one for about a week until it blew up.... It sounded good while it worked though; and eminence replaced it no questions asked. I never used the replacement though I sold it.
