I jsee these people as stupid. I have no idea why someone would buy in a community where HOA rules like that existed so they must be dumb. Apparently there was an HOA in my neighborhood before I moved in but no one paid the dues so it fell apart.

These people bitching about someone flying the flag of their choice just have nothing better to do with their lives. No life losers. But that kind of mentality also seems common in HOA communities. Bitching about stuff that has absolutely no measurable effect on the person next door is the result of people having too much idle time on their hands.
