I'm ready to take the plunge. The Fireball has been on my bucket list for nearly 10 years. I love everything about the tone. However, I already have a Carvin TS-100 all-tube stereo power amp that I'm using in stereo with my Digitech RP1000. I'm tired of that digital sound I can't dial out.

Question is, will the E530 get me into to that tight, Engl territory, and save me some money vs. buying a Fireball? And, since I'm looking at simplicity, would I be satisfied with a Fireball 60 vs. 100? Ideally, 60 is plenty. I'm just not sure if the 100 is a huge tonal upgrade with added bells/whistles to justify the price jump. I can get a used 60 for about $900, used E530 for half.

I've owned a 530. They are cool. I'd get one and have it modded by FJA. I have no affiliation with FJA, other than being a happy customer of some of their modded amps.

Here's a YT clip I found of one:

Just looking to plug/play, not really interested in sending off for mods. They sound damn good, but my results are finding the Fireball to sound more aggressive.

I haven't ever owned the E530, but a former bandmate had one for a period of time. It sounded great, but it doesn't do what the Fireball and Powerball do as far as getting as aggressive.
