Please explain.

Which pedal do you recommend? What frequencies are you cutting to clean the sound without losing the sparkle in your tone????

Thanks

HBE us no longer around, but if you can get hold of a Detox EQ it was made for that type of thing.

When I had my Deliverance I used the HBE Detox. It worked great on the Deliverance 60. I still have it in case I get a single Chanel amp again. Perhaps ebay or reverb search will turn one up.

While researching the Detox, I saw Mad Professor came out with the Underdrive pedal. Seems a lot like the Detox.

Detox is good, but honestly any 6 band eq will do the trick. I had the Detox, but then I experimented with my MXR six band, and I liked it better because I could shape the sound as well. Start out with all sliders at -9 dB and raise to taste. YRMV...

-exactly what EQ's were intended for-

-amp EQ set at neutral-

-your pedal/rack EQ at neutral-

-then use the stand alone EQ to subtract what you don't like,.... the biggest mistake people make is to cripple there tone by over compensating, you end up creating a new problem to cover the initial problem-

Which EQ pedal do you recommend for this purpose?

MXR 6 or 10 band, neither one is true bypass.

Boss 7 band, I heard it is noisy and not true bypass.

Maxon 6 band

Yeah, the Mad Professor Underdrive looks like a winner.
