Anybody tried one of these? Looking for a LP copy; not a fan of LP necks...am hoping it'd be thinner and flatter like my EC1000...if you have one or have played one, let me know what they're like wouldja? As far as neck shapes, build quality etc....any info would be helpful.

Appreciate it, guys.

Have played both sir. Not a fan of either. Thanks though.

The build quality on edwards are mostly quite good, and the navigator brand is far, far superior in terms of what tier they're supposed to be marketed to. But that said, they Navigator branding is also more traditional, so I think it's unlikely you'd find a thinner nick on an LP copy, unless you went with a 60s-inspired model slim-taper neck.

Appreciate it, thanks. I'll try and find something else.

That's actually not bad looking at all. I'm headed to the shop tomorrow. I'll give that a shot.

Keep your eyes out for used ESP Eclipses on Ebay. I've owned a pair of EC1000s (not to mention four EC400/401s). The Eclipse of course outclasses them. And the beauty is that in these hard times, you can find them for new EC1000-level prices at times. I got both of mine in pretty much mint, used condition for $850 each (second one was a trade and cash worth that). Trust me, as good as the 1000s are, it's worth it if you can step up to an Eclipse for that little difference.

I have a Navigator,it's 6 years old, however the neck is the same as my Gibson LP STD.
I will say they seem to be built better than a Gibson, and they cost more as well, but they are hand built, not production line.
Probably have to find a dealer that'll order one,Drum City?
Goodluck

Well, that's off the list then. Thanks a lot guys, appreciate the feedback/input.

Anyone know any other 24.75 scale 24 LP shapes besides the EC1000? Love the scale, love the necks on these. Was just looking to upgrade the gear for no apparent reason.

You should find a mid 70s Gibson LPC. Super slim necks, most comfortable I have ever played. I have 3 of them.

try to find a used lp classic from the 90's or early 2000's. U can find these used for cheap considering the quality is much better then current production lp's. The necks are a little slimmer then the usual too. ALso, I have an 84 custom that is really light and the neck is not big at all.

LOL......there's actually a 92 classic fs on here right now......GASsin for it bad......can't justify the cost right now, and the geet has a headstock break. I'll find something, I'm sure.

You after Navigator or Edwards??? Edwards are the cheaper Japanese domestic brand of ESP. Navigator are the (very) high end Custom shop models based after many classic models. Those who own Navi's claim they are far superior to their inspirations ie Gibson , Fender in everyway. Never played one personally (being lefty and all :)) but I know someone who has the LP and the Strat type and loves them.

I played a ton of Navigators when I was in Japan and they are very very nice.

Wow, I didn't know Navigators were still in production. I always thought they were like an 80's thing that ESP made. I learned something today.
