Anyone out there using WGS ET65's or G1265's with their BE100, Marsha, Pink Taco? I love these with bright Marshall style amps. Smooths them out nicely and adds a slightly dark flavour. Anyone tried them? Interested to hear your thoughts.

I'm interested in knowing to.these are nice speakers.

I don't own a Friedman, but have in the past..you can see what I have below. I picked up a 1979 Marshall 1960A cab with Marshall labeled G12 65s. Best cab I've had with any modded Marshall. I've had greenbacks(G12m and G12c), 75s, Mesa V30 cabs, etc. These speakers are similar to greenbacks but fatter and less bright. I wouldn't say dark though..I have a B cab from '82 with G12-80s and I would say they are dark.

I ended up finding two celestion g12-65 over the weekend and put them in my Marshall with two Marshall vintage speakers. I'm really liking it.
I wonder how the wgs compair?

I'm really digging these 65's
anyone have experience with wgs 65's?

I thought that the WGS ET65 bore little resemblance to a real G12-65. No comparison. I tried breaking them in and they were still fizzy and had weird mids compared to the Celestion. The only similarity was the power rating. YMMV.
