EV battery recycle process

There is absolutely no ROI on photovoltaic solar panels, with the current technology.

Also.. the hotter they get, the worse the efficiency.. and it's already pretty bad under ideal conditions.

?

If you buy it from ripoff artists, then true. Just don't get scammed like most people. That's the key.

You ever see large solar farms? These are companies that know almost exactly when the ROI hits, and they are not getting scammed like dumb consumers are.

As for the heat, and efficiency, so what. You just oversize by a small percent. You get more sun in the hot months, than the winter so it really evens out anyway.

Also consider if what you guys say is true "Energy is going to skyrocket" then your ROI might be a year or two. Or maybe you guys don't believe your own predictions? :hys:

All this debate about the math, and nobody's mentioned how long it takes to recoup the purchase-price difference and whether or not the battery would reach EOL by that point?

Surely this tradeoff should be at the heart of the decision-making process?

The batteries in many Tesla EV's have a warranty of 8 years or 100k miles. So you have a good idea when it's time to trade in.

Yup, and that's my implied point - that in the case of a Tesla for example, the fuel-cost savings prior to battery failure wouldn't actually mitigate the huge purchase-price discrepancy, today's "artificial peak" in petrol perhaps excepted(?).

On top of that, many a fuel-driven car can be had for the price of battery replacement alone for some vehicles.

Of course, the drastic price drops in EV's and battery-replacement costs that peeps have been waiting for will eventually close the gap, hence why I asked the question: are we there yet when it comes to the math?

My friend has one, it’s like a glorified golf cart with an iPad and nothing else in it. For what that hunk of shit costs, I’ll never get one. States like CA can’t even keep up with their electric demands as it is and they are the biggest ones pushing that garbage. For all the shit they preach, they still have that same brown smog that everyone talked about in the 70’s & 80’s.
You are making a lot of sense.

I saw that in a Spiderman movie.

Well Biden's stupid enough because he said it ha ha ha ha ha
Show a quote from a reliable source or a video of him saying block the sun completely. He might have accidentally said it but nobody with a brain would believe they will COMPLETELY block the sun.

The lighting is known to be a POS, and the charging networks are not there.

Tesla is the only way to go right now, until the other manufactures catch up.
Also Tesla is eventually fully opening up their well established charging network to other manufactures.
All American cars are still shit, Tesla is definitely the leader in electric, the technology is still in an experimental stage at this point, just like that vaccine.

This is just one in a million examples of big corporations forcing experimental products on the American people at the expense of the American people's hard-earned money and safety.

This is what happens when you forced horrible political policies onto the American people.

Have a better product and we will flock to buy them. One charge you go a 1,000 miles, charge in 5 minutes, gas and electric, I mean its really really simple to win the market place, HAVE A BETTER IDEA.

When I can fill up my vehicles with gas in under 5 minutes and go 400-500 miles, it makes zero sense to spend an hour "charging" a car to go 100 miles. MAKE. THAT. MAKE. SENSE!

It's a setup. Libs never learn. They use this as an excuse to spend more on this asinine idea.

Eric Peters: The Truth You’re Not Told About Electric Cars

Published on August 25, 2023

Governments worldwide are aggressively implementing policies to phase out combustion engine cars and replace them with electric ones, claiming that carbon dioxide (CO2), the key greenhouse gas emitted by traditional cars, poses an existential threat to our planet.

As unscientific as this fallacy is, the major car manufacturers and leftist “woke” posers are readily embracing it.

In this interview with The New American, automotive journalist Eric Peters provides a deep dive into numerous issues with electric cars, which, in the end, drastically restrict one’s freedom of movement. Another serious factor to consider is that the mining of metals and minerals needed for E.V. batteries has a well-documented negative environmental impact on local ecosystems.

You can cheerlead EV's all you want........the technology is not even close to replacing fossil fuels unless of course the earth's population is 500,000,000..................................................................................

When the Tesla battery goes dead cell 3-7 years after you purchase your $75,000.00 car and Tesla wants half of what you paid for the vehicle for a new battery let us know how great it is to own an EV. This prior EV loved the replacement cost so much he did this to his beloved Tesla.......

My bosses battery warranty is almost up. I'm like dude, you better trade that in or else you'll be selling it to me at scrap price :ROFLMAO: (since I would just fix the battery myself, I'm that kind of guy)
So you acknowledge that $35,000.00 dollar battery replacement for a $75,000.00 initial purchase price may not be a good deal!

So what car dealers would want to take a Tesla on trade looking at having to invest $25,000 or $35,000 dollars to make the car a viable trade?

Once the initial purchaser's of your so called Tesla's face this reality versus the feel good initial purchase they will inevitably trade them off if they can once their batteries start to fail if they can find a dealer stupid enough to take them. The dealers know what the lemons are out there so good luck. So who is gonna replace the batteries? Elon Musk?

I would imagine if you bought a gasoline Luxury SUV and the engine went bad just outside of the average warranty at 1-3 years or 100,000 miles and the dealer told you the new engine would be $35,000.00 dollars you probably would not be talking that purchase up to anyone.

Green energy is nowhere remotely close to being ready for primetime . It will be many years before green energy can be relied on by the masses and in the meantime millions will suffer because of it.

On another note don't expect to notice any differences in climate even if every country went with it .
