Hey fellas, hope you're all doing good. I've come here for advice:

Does it happen to any of you, that you feel the urge to sell your whole rig? I've been playing for a while, but I'm no longer playing live. I have an EVH 5150III Mini and an Orange 212c. I love this rig, but I'm not playing live. live in an apartment, and feel like I can benefit from the cash instead of having nice rig sitting here (5150's are my favorite amps though). I bought a POD HD Bean a while ago, but it got lost in the mail. Thinking of maybe selling most of the rig and buying another, or something similar. Advice? Thoughts? Maybe I'm crazy?

I've actually really thought about getting a Kemper down the line. I'm not playing live, and if I begin playing live again someday, I can just use it through the PA. I

I've thought about getting rid of all my gear. But then I'm like "F that noise!" and buy more shit.

Did it. Just recently. Had some $ issues, sold my amp and cab (like you, I live in an apartment and hardly ever turned my amp above 1) and I'm using JamUp Pro with all the packs I wanted for what I play. It's kind of liberating to not hoard shit, and not worry about neighbors either. I can play into headphones at night and its as loud as I can stand. Is it ideal? Yeah. Do I miss my amp? A little...but in the end I made good money, paid some stuff off, and every piece is replaceable. Was right for me, at this time.

I've thought of selling my stuff...mainly because I stink at playing guitar and have so many other hobbies...I enjoy tinkering around with guitar...but I actually love other things more to be honest

What interface are you using with the JamUp?

Sell all your stuff & save up/work hard to get out of the apartment. Apartments suck. Men must have the freedom to make noise.....

I damire People who can do it but i am far too emotionally attached to my material belongings.

Apogee Jam. $100...I had the red bean POD and a 500HD, and this is killing both of them. Digging it.

I have a few times. I could be driving a new car + have money for a downpayment on a house by now. I could also use the money for bench equipment in my lab.

But to be honest i have worked too damn hard to find these certain guitars with their properties. All it takes is a trip to the local guitar store to remind myself just how bad some guitars can play/feel/sound in order to better appreciate what i currently own.

I am also thankful for the ability to have the gear and enjoy it. I look onto Jason Becker and he would kill to be able to play again yet he cant. As long as you understand the gear does not make the player - it is an extension of the player, then nothing to worry about. The second you start hoarding gear to make up for much needed metronome wood shedding then there is a problem.

Dont get me wrong if it were a life or death instance i would sell it all in a heartbeat and have nothing. But to have spent as much time as i have practicing and playing i do not know of a reason why i would do such a thing.

I did it in March as I needed the £'s for a move down to London. Got rid of my Randall V2 half stack that I loved.

I'm now loving London life, and I am just about to pull the trigger on a 5153 50w head and 1x12 cab.....says it all really!

I almost have. I'm nearly broke for one, however I did buy my music equipment with the idea that I'd keep it for life.

I would like to possibly sell my two 4x12 cabs, but then I'd want to get three 2x12 cabs to replace them.....

Once a long time ago.

I just buy new rigs once in a while, and keep most of the old stuff.

Marshall rig, Rhodes rig, Recto rig, MKIIC rig, Dr Z rig. Took a little time.

But moods change and no sense selling off a perfectly good rig over it.

I just sold another Axe FX II....To buy a real amp for apt use lol
