What’s everyone using for cab/ speakers?
I had cool results pulling the presence way back to 2/10 and jacking up the channel treble knobs to 7/10.Speeddemon":2mb04vuo said:Personally, I found that speakers that tame the high end a bit, work best with the EVH's.
G12H30 55Hz, GL10-35 (in the Marshall 1965A & B cabs, 4x10"), G12-65, old T75's (serifed font...those sound nothing like the scooped, screechy stuff of today).
I totally agree. I like mine best through an old Marshall with G12-65's. Helps keep the highs from being harsh.Speeddemon":2g1mrofo said:Personally, I found that speakers that tame the high end a bit, work best with the EVH's.

It clears up the modern sounding fizzy high end cut and begins sounding clearer and more on the Soldano side.
Do the opposite and it's classic 5150 buzzsaw that we all love.
Very cool. I thought so. Ironically it now sounds better and is more user friendly.. nothing against gender but that's quite interestingFitrocker33":3sii6vz6 said:I have a 2016 5153 50w and it does NOT have the fender logo on the front.
