I've got two 5153/212's...one is brand new thanks to UPS...anyway.

In one of the cabs I was thinking of swapping out the G12h30's with some G12m25w (Greenbacks) . I'm assuming they would fit in this cab with no problem??

Anyone..?

thanks for any feedback.

Any 12" speaker will fit. Careful though...use a screwdriver not a power tool. The hardware strips really easy.

not trying to talk down to you here but your post leads me to believe that you don't have much if any experience with this .
So make sure if you are mixing speakers to match the impedance .8 ohm for 8 ohm ect...
Also I can't remember if these are 16 or 8 ohm cabs but if its a 16 ohm cab that means it has 2- 8 ohm speakers in it now wired in series .If you put 2-16 ohm speakers in it and wire it the way they did your gonna have a 32 ohm cab . So be aware of what your doing so you don't burn your OT up.

No worries dude...appreciate the guidance and yes, you're correct, i have little to no experience with this.

I'm not looking to mix speakers, impedance, just a straight swap. i was just confirming physically they would fit. Seems i had an old cab from the '80's where the mounts in the cab were kind'of oddly spaced...somewhat of a proprietary spacing i suppose or maybe they were bent :dunno:

I’m not sure how the back panel is on the EVH cabs but some back panels are a PITA to get off due to such a tight fit . Unscrew the jack plate and take your time pulling the panel off
