EVH LBX Red channel tube swap question

A 5751 pre amp tube will provide 70% of the pre amp gain, just curious as to what V position I can swap a 5751 in the LBX to reduce the Red channel? Preferably not effect the Blue ch

I think that on V3, rather than lowering the gain, you'd just lower the volume of the channel.
