VAN HALEN played a special "rehearsal" show for their upcoming North American tour last night (Wednesday, February 8) at the Forum in Los Angeles.

VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, who was one of the lucky people in attendance, tweeted after the concert, "VAN HALEN was killer tonight at the Forum. Eddie [Van Halen] was brilliant. So amazing to hear/watch."

The band's setlist was as follows:

I am lookin forward to seeing them April 19th and taking the 20th off!

I was going to fly out for the show but I have the father/daughter dance tomorrow night and that trumps the Van Halen friends and family show for me. :thumbsup:

I will catch them on this side....

Incredible!!! I always shake my head in denial, get goosebumps and smile whenever I see Ed play...
 
Man that was awesome. I'm 47, class of 82 which means vh1 came out in my freshman year of high school. A time when music has a huge impact on a person. Good to see Ed doin it.
 
That's great to see (hear)... Given the few years of horror that were prior to this I sort of figured we'd just find Eddie dead one of these days. Instead he's clean/sober, new killer record, tour, great gear company going. I hope he stays clean for good.
 
That's the reason I play guitar right there...all I can say is thank you.
 
can't watch because I'm at work. I got Slash's tweet last night...was this a full-blown show? Rehearsal? I thought Louisville was the kick-off.
