I am having an issue with Blue/Channel 2. My Gibson with a Burstbucker in the Bridge and my Strat with a Duncan Custom in the Bridge seems to fart out on the low strings with the gain at noon.

The red channel does not do that at all. I've now graviated to the red channel because of this. I have read that the amp is very pickup sensitive, so maybe I need different pickups, OR, I have to run the gain lower and boost the blue channel to keep the low end strings from farting out.

Anyone else experience this?

that happens to me whenever i use my Jem 7VWH or PRS CU22... it's weird... i can't use a boost when i use the blue channel and either of those guitars

just how it is i guess

That's odd about the Blue channel farting out. I've seen numerous people complaining about this. Mine doesn't do that at all...... even with Suhr Aldrich and Dimarzio AT-1 loaded guitars. Doesn't flub out with any of the cabs in my sig at gig volumes. I run the Blue gain around 1 o'clock and sometimes boost it. Maybe I got lucky.

I have had my 100w since 2007 and never had an issue with flubbing out. However, I have noticed it on occasion with my 50w. My 100w has the EH/Sovtek mix and the 50w has the JJ's.

ok... what the frak?!?!?! i just tried the blue channel again and it sounded all kinds of farty... as an example, i played Crazy Train. The notes were flubby and sounded like "fart fart fart" in f# minor.... ughhh.... such a bummer. the channel is almost unusable

Contact Howard Kaplan, the head designer of the 50w. He likes to hear about these things and can help you out. He frequents TGP and the 5150iii Facebook page. Can you make a clip of it?
