Never have, and as of last week.....never will. Some new law.........

Mizati20, you're thinking of the Herbert. They added external bias points maybe a year or so ago.

Thanks for the link! I guess this goes to show how long it's been since I checked the forum.

I was curious partly because I bought a VH4S on eBay almost a year ago that had an external bias pot added by a third party. That made trying out 6L6s, 6550s, and EL34s quite easy.

my herbert is a late 2006 model (>660 serialno.) and it already has them.
