I will be honest if I could buy everything from Kyle Rhodes I would. That guy is the fucking master jedi of customer service. I know he's been slammed so a bit less quick to respond to questions but damn if he hasnt went insanely out of the way to make sure I got what I want. Nik at Ceriatone is similar but you have to deal with the snarky comments(I dont really mind and think its funny half the time).

I own a Zuul and as much as I like it if I found another noise gate that would compare I would drop it quick after the last debacle. Not to mention after seeing the gut shots of the sigil I almost had a panic attack.

When your core lineup originated from someone else's designs. You have no true company in terms of R&D, customer service or even an actual brick and mortar business, yet pass yourself off as the second coming of High-gain Amp Jesus, i have an issue. He copies a design and repackages it. He gets Ola to make a recording. I gotta stop, here because i have to say i think Ola is way overrated. You pay up front. Someone else makes the amp, and usually a different person each time. When something doesn't work, their is a shell of a business and no system to ethically service a customer. Sorry but as long as naive customers drink the koolaid, someone else is going to fill his shoes.

I don’t remember his business practices being like this before Randall. He seemed like a decent guy back in the beginning.

I have to agree, on all accounts. I'm a fan of Ola, simply because he knows how to record, and have much respect for his success in drawing in followers, and branding his own guitars, but his shtick has gotten old, as has his riffs.

Fortin cashed in on hype, but at the end of the day, he's shot himself in the foot. I think he's got some great sounding amps, but if your after the sale support is that bad, you employ
a dickhead like Zach, (who I know is gone), to do PR and marketing, and have shitty QC, no thank you.

Plus, his prices were ridiculous as fuck. But, idiots paid 'em.

Yes well said and agreed on everything except his amps sounding great. I’ve tried a Natas and Meshuggah and wasn’t impressed by either. Owned 2 Gower’s, which I’m guessing sound similar if not better than Fortin’s mods and they sounded good but not great. Had a 33, Grind, Hexdrive, Fuzz and Zuul, again all were decent in quality of tone, but certainly nothing great. Life’s too short for gear that’s decent but not great, especially at the prices he charges

What’s the Meathead stolen from? I always that amp but after watching all this shit play out, Fortin ain’t getting my money.

Is that racist clown Carl? He still desperately clinging around?

As I understand it is very similar to a Metalhead amp by Elan.

Pretty much this.

clap1-1465630.gif

Even his t-shirts, graphics, logos, et al are ripped-off from the old Affliction Gear from several years back. Not an original thought, design, graphic or circuit ever. Sad. And now horrible blame the customer service. Winning combo.

Bingo. Notice how he failed to rail on Italians? I was going to ask him... but... like Frosty, he'll be back again someday.

I really liked the Hexdrive. But, $225 + $16.95 shipping was insane, I thought.

My zuul created a ground loop when using the key input.Emailed for help and was talked down to and treated like an idiot. I was given no help and told my amp was probably a piece of junk. (Four Diezel).

The ignorance illustrated it was clearly not Mike, presumably Zach however I actually don’t know.

They were rude, gave me wrong/misinformation and basically did nothing to help me and wouldn’t look at my pedal.

I then spent time watching and even sent pics of my PCB revision while he had it traced and then cloned for the DIY market. Ive built myself a half dozen of them, all much higher quality parts than fortin, mine can take 15volts for max headroom and I added a tiny iso transformer to mitigate any possible ground loops.

F them. Every single interaction with fortin had been bad.

Someone was also rude to my wife who had purchased my original zuul as a gift. That one arrived malfunctioning and I had to wait for an new batch. (Months). She still says “f them” whenever they are mentioned. ?

Wow. What a great business model. Steal multiple designs, call them your own AND provide terrible and insulting customer service.
WIN!
