I know a lot of guys have gone through cabs, and I am just wondering what you settled on and why? I still love my mills, but I have played some nice wizard cabs and I still love the Evh stealth cab I had

Nothing esoteric, fancy or expensive in my stable. I have a pair of Splawn Straight Front 4x12s. One loaded with G12EVH and the other loaded with 2 Marshall Branded V30s and a pair of Scumback M65s in an 'X' pattern. The EVH loaded cab is super smooth with lots of natural speaker compression. The V30/M65 cab has a bit more low-end 'Thump.' Nice to have options for different amps.

For me it's simple. Marshall 1960B or any quality copy. My current is a Schecter USA and I got it new loaded with V30's for $200 when they were blown out. Had it side by side with a vintage 1960b and when loaded the same were indistinguishable. Also Mesa oversize. I haven't tried any of the boutique ones except Friedman and Splawn and they are awesome too.

I'm stuck on these monsters, big and punchy with no limitations.

I've had Mills cabs and they don't have it.

Marshall 1960BX and the EVH are the only 4x12's I have at the moment. Love them both.

Pretty partial to Marshall cabs(have owned 5). Enjoyed the Bogner and Friedmans I’ve had, along with this Mojotone as well though.

Equally like my Fryette front loaded with v30/redbacks as well as my older Marshall checkerboard (standard) loaded with fane f70/f90s. I havent owned an oversized cab in a long time, would be interested to try again though.

Have had a lot over the years, my Mesa Trad always sounds good, and a Marshall Jube cab sounds good, one of the best sounding cabs I have played thru (for me) was a beat to shit orange Splawn with BB and SBs at GC,,, I have no idea why I didnt buy that cab,,,,

I’ve had/ have some good ones.

Mesa Traditional V30
Diezel FL G12-65
Old Marshall 1960A Vented G12T-75

The later is my favourite , just like the way the bass blooms off it- but they’re all great.

I’ve had a bunch. My ears just like Marshall slants. My #1 is a 1960AX with the top 2 speakers replaced with EVH’s. Most B cabs that pass through my house get moved on pretty quick……that includes the EVH 4x12.

I’m really picky about 4x12’s, but can get along with most 2x12’s with the right speakers.

Rivera 412B w/ 30s & 75s in X-Pattern, thick and thumpy for modern heavies

80's Marshall JCM800 1960A 412 w/ 75s on bottom and 70s on top. I think the speakers are stock but idk, picked it up for a good deal a couple yrs ago. The 70s catch some flack for being a bit dull but I like the way they work in this cab for an Unleashed In The East kinda thing.
