TS and SD-1 are obvious and if they are your fave then post it here. I have been looking at BB preamp, Cusack screamer.
What is your fave?

I liked the Maxon OD808 into my JMP, for the TS mid hump sound - better than the Screamer, Timmy, EP Boost, Archer, and varius other TS clones. Still looking for a great sounding OD without the mid hump!

Stock or Modded.

Some I have and use regularly on my 2203x:

SD-1 for that all around mid-gain push

GE-7 for a clean push also can tweak to mid-gain or scoop

BD-2 for sizzle and spank

RAT2 for 80's hair

BE-OD with gain pot set @ 3:00 if your brother is a drummer named Alex

Have you tried the Seymour Duncan 805 or Way Huge Green Rhino ? Both of those pedals work great to mellow out the mid hump yet keep the tight low end

If the Marshall is a good one, pretty much everything sounds good pushing it.

Some of my favorites have been:
Boss OD-1/SD-1
Old MXR 6-band EQs
MXR Dyna Comp
TC Electronics Booster/line driver/distortion
Analogman King of Tone
Furman PQ3

Another good place to start might be to build your own tubescreamer kit and tweak values to deliver the midrange you want.

Cusack Screamer V2.

Has 2X the gain of a stock tube screamer, 3 way clipping switch and the lowest noise floor of any pedal I've owned. Possibly the best TS variant I've used and I had them all.

One of your vids with a Marshall and Cusack Screamer got me to thinking about one a while back. Sounded great.

Hands down the winner is the cusac screamer....I have tried many pedals as I play a stock jmp boosted....the cusac rips !!!

Try a Boss EQ set up in a frown face.
This...plus an OCD clone(joyo ultimate drive) or a Boss OD1X in sequence for 80s and beyond.

The Cusak is the best OD pedal I've ever had. Sounds great with everything. That said, I also have an Old school Boss 10 band EQ and the brown face setting works like a charm. Also, there is a slider all the way to the right that is the input level. Notch that up about half way between 0(flat) and wide open and it hits the front end of a jmp beautifully. Gonna try the Boss and Cusak together on my 68' plexi today. I'll report back how it goes.
