With a name like like, it better be!Le Shiek! Haha I bet it's killer.
How’s the Beta ? I’ve always been intrigued by itSome of amps just don’t get along with any boost pedals and sound better on their own. Some examples of what I’ve kept for that include the CCV, Original Rev Uber, Megalith Beta, Wizard MTL, Reason SM50
The GEQ Mark amps & Recto’s sound perfectly killer as is, but for many styles of metal need a boost to sound their best
Koko boost v1 is great on a Hermansson amp . It sounds the same just a tad bigger .give that a try onceNone of my modded amps or iic+ need a boost. My hermansson is silly tight and immediate
What’s your number 1?I actually can't think of a single high gain amp that I played that I didn't prefer straight in. At least not for my core tones I go for.
It’s cool. In a similar ballpark to the Uber & Herbert, so could be up your alley. Very modern. Shakes the floor more than anything else I’ve tried with its crazy extended bottom end. I wrote about it more thoroughly when I did a NAD thread on it and I don’t go through bs honeymoon phases with gear. My thoughts tend not to change much from the initial onesHow’s the Beta ? You forgot because they weren’t worth remembering vs other stuff lol. Some of those amps already kinda sound like they’re boosted on their own. Some of the Cameron Jose mods I had were great boosted without the diode clipping engaged (not with it obviously), but the other Cam’s not so muchYep, some amps sound worse with a boost out front. Those that I've owned would be...

A few other modded Marshalls I forget
