FB Marketplace

Haven't used it in years. Now I remember why.

so far, scammers and time wasters.

guessing you have to wade through a multitude of idiots to find a serious buyer.
More of a headache than craigslist.

I feel like this is location and item dependent. I've sold some lower priced stuff quite easily. Anything above $1k seems to attract the loons.

it's a 2014 Mustang convertible; 3.7 liter V6, automatic. new convertible top and weatherstripping in 2024. was my kid's high school car. fun around town and the beach...though he took it on a few road trips.

edit: a little pollen on the top making it look lighter.

Yeah that's def a ride ripe for tire kickers and problem buyers. My wife wants a mustang convertible, I told her to go take the top off her Wrangler and pretend it's a Ford, lol. Good luck with the sale rsm.

Craigslist has been good to me. I can actually get someone on the phone and meet the same day.
Same. Other than the tire kickers and lousy trade offers I've never had a bad experience in-person with anyone. Bought and sold and given away more stuff than I can remember. Pets, tools, atvs, motorcycles, music gear, etc etc etc.

I've saved thousands just by low balling people and dealing with logistical BS

well, there are sellers that fold to nonsense quickly or get taken by scammers which only encourages more time wasters and scammers. it's a never ending cycle.

why I hate selling vehicles; I'll give it a few days to a week, if it's not sold I'll donate it to charity for a tax write-off next year.

Its not bad if youre selling cabs. Those move locally. I did like 3 gear deals in the Lowe's parking lot last year or so. Just keep a piece on you when you meet up you never know 👍🏻

I only put stuff on FB that I a giving away. Trying to sell something gives the buyers an idea that everything should be 25% off an already cheap price.

I've run into sellers with attitudes when inquiring. Simple questions that don't warrant the attitude given to me. Some don't even reply after multiple attempts. No clue of what they are selling. "They are Celestions" ya but which ones? "I don't know" Can you open the back of the cab and take a picture? No, I'm not doing that."

I had one douche bag seller with a ridiculous price on a road kill duct taped handle 2x12 cabinet call me names then block me. My friend took over for me through his FBM account and the seller was a dick to him too. Yet the reviews on this chump are great. As stated on here saying the seller looks like the comic book guy on the Simpsons my friend also said the same thing without knowing from you guys.

I thought it would be better than CL. It was good for me in 2024, but now FBM SUCKS. CL is crickets.
