FB Marketplace

I have "if the listing is up the car is still available" in my listing; over half the messages I'm getting are asking if it's still available.

One I like, is "what's the lowest you'll take?" I state my asking price, and say make an offer.

Got a few offers for 1/3 or less of my asking price.

I just ignore stupid / obvious questions (e.g., asking a question that's answered in my listing description).

I may have a serious cash buyer, meeting tomorrow. Got my counterfeit money tester pens. Hope it goes through without drama or stupidity.

Just picked up a bike rack for my car hitch today from FBMP. Easy deal. But yeah, it can def get weird out there.
I list stuff for free sometimes and a dude in a dinosaur costume came to pick something up once lol.

Those are all bots. They don’t care what the listing is at all, they just want to steal your money

Sold without issues. Good, fair price. Sold within one day of listing it; good results.

Until next time I need FB Marketplace.

FB marketplace has been a mostly satisfactory experience for me. The "is this still available" replies to my listings are pretty annoying. I usually do a quick profile creep before replying to anyone... I.e. if they've got no friends or posts, it's a no reply from me

Was the buyer in a dino suit?

No; but his wife, who didn't come to see the car, nearly killed the deal over the phone. The car is for their teen daughter, who also wasn't there, but liked the car.

He sent his wife and daughter pics of the car, and was on the phone with his wife for about 20 minutes.

My ex-wife also gave me crap for buying this car for my son since she learned about it; not that it mattered to me. I told her, if you want to buy, insure and repair another car for him with your money, go do it; otherwise STFU about it. She gave my son crap about it constantly, but never offered to replace it.

Deal went well. Still amazed at how quickly it sold, and how many people, -minus the lowballers and scammers, were interested. I had a few serious offers, albeit lower than the buyer's offer.
