Over the years EBMM has never released a guitar like that called 'a quilt top' and they are half the price of that.

That's half a quilt top.

I've seen Les Pauls that look the same way, and when you get to a different position, the quilt is there. Most flame is like that if it hasn't been specifically painted/stained for the flame/quilt to "Pop" From one angle, my R8 looks like a plain top, another it looks like wild flames. That is the true nature of flamed maple.

You can even see it some in that crappy pic. Yes, it should be better for 3k, but until I see different pics, I don't believe it's as bad as that picture makes it out to be.

PRS doesn't make sense sometimes. Some of their Non-10 tops look better than their 10-tops. I had a Singlecut that had a real sexy finish.

And i wonder how much Fender thinks this top is worth?

These new Wolfgangs are really tuning out to be a joke IMO...even the very rare (and expensive!) Peavey Wolfgang quilts sucked balls.

I've been on record many times stating I simply don't like the look of maple top guitars. Having said that any moron can see difference in aesthetics between the 3k EVH/Fender and a Suhr. Why spend the extra cake just to have an "EVH" on there?
