Hey, you guy's and gal's are forgetting one thing!! EVH on the headstock!!! 
Here's an example of what a solid piece of flame maple looks like, well two of them.
These are my Hamer Californian Elite USA guitars, love them. Necks are incredible, Aztec gold is set at 3/32's off the frets and the Amber is at 2/32's off the frets, NO BUZZING. They practically play themselves.

Whatever. I love my Axis, but I didnt really like the Peavey I had years ago. 3G's even if it had the best figure I have ever seen, I still wouldnt care. If it sounds and plays good and inspires the player, I guess its worth it.

wow....they should grade the quilts as flametops, ie..AAAAA grade etc. The 3k EVH is about a 1A whicje really should be about priced about 1/2 that

That's some funny stuff Lol. Mike agree that the quilt on that Anderson wasn't the greatest but the guitar was still smoking. You should have played it to. It was good to hear the Vintage Modern again.
