This thing turned out absolutely amazing. It plays and sounds incredible. I can’t say enough about Warmoths quality.

Warmoth La Cabronita swamp ash body in butterscotch blond
Warmoth roasted maple neck unfinished
Indian rosewood fretboard
Vintage modern construction
10-16 compound radius
1-11/16 nut width
GraphTech TUSQ XL nut
TV Jones Power’Tron pickups

Hipshot hardtail bridge

That looks really awesome, but no tone knob?
Nah, I chose not to go that route. I honestly don’t need one on this guitar. Only thing I did was add a treble bleed to compensate for a slight loss in the highs when I backed the volume down. I’d normally wire it 50’s style but without a tone I had to change things up. A 528k volume pot with the Power’Trons sounds great.

Interesting, right on. I just figured with that pup config that a tone knob would be very desired to really achieve all of those "in between tones" that they afford. Still looks like a rippin guitar though!

That looks really great. The body has some nice figuring but that neck is dead sexy. This has officially pushed me to order some warmoth parts and put together a super strat. Great job on your build.

Thanks. They have some really badass looking roasted maple necks but they can get pretty pricey.

Ooooohh, Powertrons :inlove:

Have a set in a Les Paul

Warmoth stuff kick's ass... I bet that guitar is sweet! It looks awesome!

That looks great! Very similar to my MIM Cabronita which also doesn't have (or need) a tone control. Killer job!

Question, did you do the fret work or does it come leveled/crowned/polished? Does warmoth do it or did you have it done?

Warmoth doesn’t do any fret leveling but they do an excellent job when installing frets. This particular neck was almost perfect when I checked it for high frets. The couple the were high were so slight that they weren’t even worth leveling. The only thing I might do is round off the fret ends. This isn’t something that needs to be done but more something I’d like to do. I forgot to mention I’ve got stainless frets so the bends are already super smooth. Here’s what the frets look like now.

Interesting.

Cool. I can do fretwork, just have not done it on a cmpd radii. Once you know how to level/crown and get good results you get spoiled with good frets. Most of the guitars i buy I level/crown. It makes everything in guitar center feel like junk when they have worn out frets. Lol. But then you take it home it feels so much nicer.
