This kicks ass

Nice tones...I'd have gone for a touch more mids for cut, but overall, real nice bite and tone IMHO

thanks guys!

This was a very simple quick clip I did. 1) Shure Sm57 microphone into my black lion ada8000 mic preamp into my black lion 96io interface, and that's it. Protools 9.0 HD, The speaker was a Celestion CL80. The Guitar was a Carvin DC127 with mahogany body and neck and ebony fret board Tuned to Drop C# with DR DDT 11-54 strings and a Suhr Doug Aldrich pickup set, plugged strait into the amp.

Drums are my Yamaha Oak Customs, 7x14 Maple Custom snare, bass was a fender precision bass lite strait into protools / amplitube 3.

Usually i do a sm57 on the h30 anny, and a md421 on the cl80 right into a neve 1073 dpa, but this one was real quick clip i did.
The amp Kills - it a JCM 800 2203 with the FJA F.U.P.A mod, which is like a hopped up version of a High Gain Jose mod. If you're looking for a rippin High Gain Jose mod, get this, Trust me!

Yeah man, that clip rips! I really like that tone. Sounds really clear with a cool grind.

thank you sirs! sounds even better in person... crazy part is the amp can go from that kind of tone, to like a bluesy bitey tone, to really nice and clean , just with rolling back the volume knob on the guitar...

That's something I just love. My amp does the same thing. I would rather have that kind of flexibility with the volume knob(and pick attack) than multi channels.

its what i dig about the 3 gain stagers ... it really responds more to your playing.

Damn man, thats impressive... Is this the other amp you were referring to on the kit built amp thread?

Oh and by the way, dont think I diddnt see the SansAmp on that last pic ;)

I went to FJA's website and I can't seem to figure out exactly what the various mods they offer do - or even what they're called. I'll be straight up with ya, I'm far from a Marshall kinda guy, but this amp seriously got my attention - it sounds VERY Fortin'esque (tell me if I'm offside here fellas) and very crisp and cutting. I'm of the mindset to just buy a fkn JCM 2203 and send it to the lads to get done what you had done...the amp kills.

Send me whatever info you can - PM is fine, and that goes for you too JerryP

This is a new mod , listed under Marshall Mods on the FJA website called the FUPA mod, but mine has a bunch of extra's. This also has a tube loop with a level control & second foot switchable master (with it's own dc power supply) with 3 way zener clipping switch's over each of the master volumes. Plus a push pull bass boost, 2) smooth switch's, and push pull bright switch's on the 2 preamp gain controls which add a killer bite to the gain. Pretty much it's setup and voiced exactly like my MK1 OG CCV....
