Floodin' down in Texas....

Catastrophic flooding in central Texas last year and now this year....tons of rain. Rained heavy most of the day today with more rain tomorrow, especially further out in the hill country centered around the Boerne area. Let's keep the cloud seeding operations going....doesn't have anything to do with record setting rains. Boerne is just south of where they are contracted for cloud seeding work. But hey, that has nothing to do with it....again.:rolleyes:

 
In more weather related news, got wildfire smoke coming down from Northern Minisomalia. Even the inside of my house smells like smoke.

This has been my view for the past week. Nothing like water main replacement.

Guadalupe river has a wave going down it....expected to crest 32 feet, matching last years deadly July 4th flooding. Kerr county evacuating, heavy rains continuing out in that area. Hopefully things don't get too crazy downstream.

Thanks D. You are welcome to derail my threads anytime bro. In 2015 the Blanco rose 40 feet in about an hour and many homes plus several people were swept away so I been keeping an eye on things though as long as I sit tight I shouldn't be directly affected.

We just had another downpour here....

I did rock work all morning cause the temps were manageable but it started pouring again about an hour ago. It's downright soggy even way up the hill where my place is. This is why we own high ground clearance vehicles. It wouldn't be the first time we forded a high water crossing (with care of course)....

I've watched heavy rains further out in the hills sweep down into the dry washes and flood out creek beds that mostly sit dry year round. It's really unpredictable. I was coming back from a gig in Canyon Lake one night and it was pouring. We had to cross the slime bridge and barely made it. If I had been five minutes later I'm pretty certain the truck would've been swept downstream....
 
The flooding down in Texas can't be too bad if all the telephone lines aren't down.

It's bad but I myself live on up on a hill so basically am not affected by water ingress. The power did cut out for about an hour the other day and for whatever reason they shut down our water. Texas has shit infrastructure. I often imagine western Australia in rural areas to be very similar....

A couple people are reported to have died per the news this evening, which is far less than the 100 people swept away last year in the 4th of July flooding. The whole camp Mystic thing has been a shit show ever since.

Kerrville area is supposed to see more rain tonight. The Guadalupe crested around 37 feet already. We had more heavy rain along I35 this evening for about an hour. I personally chalk it up to weather mod, as it's well known they've been using cloud seeding in the Kerrville/Comfort/Bandera areas....

My comment wasn't serious - it was just borrowing from SRV's Texas Flood Lyrics. So really just wordplay.
