Sunday Ryan and I locked in the studio and nailed down the core tone for my new record. I wanted to record a real amp and not use the AxeFXII so we set to getting a killer tone to use. We chose the 6505+ and I snapped a few pics of the settings for the amp and pre/eq to make sure I could fix it if we bump something. I figured I'd share in case anyone else has a 6505+ and wants to see.
Chain:
Ibanez RG1527 w/ Dimarzio Liquifire
ISP Decimator
Maxon OD808 (Overdrive zeroed, Balance dimed, Tone at noon)
Peavey 6505+
Mesa Boogie Rectifier 4x12 Straight Cabinet
Shure SM57
ClassicAPI VP312 Preamp
Great River Harrison 32EQ
Tascam DM3200 > Logic
We're double tracking the guitars with Fluff's patented secret technique (patent pending, ask him to elaborate) and the tracks sound absolutely (h)UGE! That's how Donald Trump says it.
