Hey there Forum!

I'm new here and a proud owner of the Torpedo Live and loving it! I went about recording with my trusty Apogee One which was absolutely OK for demoing. But there's a bit of latency and I'd love to be able to use the Live's S/PDIF feature for tracking wet and dry signal, so I could re-amp and all that stuff which would be handy to get all my music sound a wee bit better.

Right now I'm thinking of getting the Clarett 2 Pre but aren't quite sure if there is any way that I might me able to record via S/PDIF? I would buy that Clarett right away but I wouldn't want to miss the S/PDIF features from my Torpedo Live… Any thoughts on that?

Cheers,
M

I have the Clarett 8 Pre and love the interface! I've been able to track my band with it at rehearsal and some live work as well as recording my drummer. Fantastic interface!

I think if you want to continue to use the SPDIF on the Torpedo, you would probably need to get the Clarett 4 Pre as it has the SPDIF in/out on it on the back.

Ok,… sounds like I thought it is. A pity they got rid of that S/PDIF on the 2 Pre,… so I would have to dig deeper into my pocket and get the 4 Pre.

Thanks mate!
