Boogies never confused me but at times they could be a pain in the ass to tweak to something I really loved, pull treble pot out/in, and the adjustment you made sometimes had large effects because of how they interact with each other.
I owned two boogies a Mark IIIC+ DRG 60 watt( can't remember what stripe it originally but it had the big export power transformer, it had that had the R2 III+ mod done by Mike B, and a 2000 Dual Recto 3 channel. They were cool but just didn't move me as much as my Marshalls. As much as I loved the recorded tones of John Petrucci and Ty Tabor on Dogman. I finally concluded Mesa's just weren't my cup of tea after I had Scott Splawn Rebuild my 79 2203 after it developed intermittent issues from me abusing it since 1985.
